Branding Free FEE -- Client is asking now!

Others have mentioned confusion, yes that is true, users wonder whether you are charging them for something that AOL or somebody is providing.

But worst of all is Competing Developers. We go through a lot of "Assembly" to put together solutions. And we already have to deal with copycats, and in some cases downright Copyright infringement.

So my purpose beyond not confusing the user, is to not lead the developer to each and every piece of add-on software I purchase in addition to my own coding.

People always say - Oh, that's easy.....Well ask them before they see it? See what they say. Then take them to the dock and say, I want you to sail right to Austrailia mate. You got 2 choices a rudderless ship and the other.

Well, of course the developer is going to choose the ship with the rudder and and a compass and head for his destination / without those 2 you have 360 degrees to turn to and some who don't do their own homework would never get it done.

Please provide the branding free soon.

I cannot find for the life of me the link for vBSEO 3.0 and VBSEO 3.0 GOLD.

What does GOLD Provide.

Also, can you answer me this question: I've done work for a patent attorney, and it seems to me with your patent pending that it will be highly unlikely that you will ever offer branding-free option.

If this is the case I would like to know now because I have my own methods. I've been researching this since the days of BuzzPower (remember that?), and although I hate Microsoft, I code using their technologies at light speed.

Just please tell us YES or NO if you are truly considering it, but if your holding us off for an eventual NO I'd like to no now because I just don't buy ANY products any more that don't offer a Branding Free option.

I'm not trying to be pushy or piss you off, but I just logged in today and found the info. about the patent pending. I've written Expert Witness Non-Testifying documents regarding Google's use of patents (a company I happen to love but in this case clearly infringed).

I can appreciate you guys patenting, but please let me know now if the patenting will interfere with branding free. I have a community to run and I need it to be clean from Ads that can hurt my business.

I'm not aware of any reason why the patent pending status of vBSEO technology would impact the branding removal option.

However, with that said, we have not determined a date for offering our branding removal option.

Joe, I just saw the related post about the "Announcements Forum".

I'll subscribe to that and wait. But I have a client waiting also. It's my biggest account in several years and 75% is other components, Classic ASP, some PHP, some SOAP, but the other 25% is vBSEO and possibly Gold depending on if it's affordable and what it has to offer.

So I don't want the client getting any ideas like "Hey why didn't i just get this for $149 instead of paying you all that money to develop the Flash, XHTML Intro pages, Forums, Database, Stored Procedures, XML SOAP, etc." --- that's the kind of thing I have to deal with 1 out of 10 or more and it's a pain 'cause they really think you ripped them off.

I would just recommend being up front about it with your client. You can tell them a solution is available for a reasonable licensing fee. However, you can also let them know about your concerns about the branding issue, and see how they would like to proceed.

Keep in mind, that we have some extensibility functions available. That helps ensure that anything else you create will be fully compatible with the new rewritten URL format, etc. Please check it out:
