    Branding

Every now and then I visit this site and consider purchasing vBSEO. Like everyone else I'd like more traffic and I get very close to purchasing, but then I remember that it'll mean that our branding-free site will have to have a vBSEO advert at the bottom.

So I've basically got just two questions:

    1. Is there a fixed date for when the branding-free option will be out
    2. How much extra will it cost to remove it?

    Thanks

    Stuart

    1) According to recent statements by Juan, it should be available in early March.

    2) I'm interested in this answer myself.

    Hi conqsoft,

Any idea why it's taking so long to get the branding-free option released? Isn't it just a case of deleting it from the footer, or are vBSEO waiting for a certain level of PR before they allow it to be removed?

    Thanks for the info Ross

Any idea how much it will cost, although at $150 for vBSEO already it should really be free to remove the ad.

Why is that? vBulletin is $160, and another $120 to remove the branding.

    Re: Branding

Without going over old ground, vBulletin is a massive product by comparison, and many people already think the vBSEO is already outrageously overpriced at $150. There are also a lot of people who think that vBulletin's $120 brand-free price is outrageous as well.

Slap another x$ on top of the already high price of vBSEO and it'll just be another nail in the coffin when the free SEO hacks are more developed - and they're already getting pretty good.

    Re: Branding

Juan, could you give us some idea of how much it will cost, or if it will be free to remove the branding?

I just don't understand the price bashing that I see on these forums.

I'm just starting with my 1st vBulletin site and I've spent more total $$ than I had expected at this point. That being said, the $160 for vbseo is easily the smartest part of my budget spend so far.

While vbseo may not be perfect, it's saved me hours and hours of research, testing and coding. Is your time so worthless that you can't afford $160 to save you some time? If so, spend your time and not your money.

So either wait til the free ones are more developed or just go with the inferior free hacks. If you wait, you lose the income that you could be generating with vbseo today. If you go with the inferior hacks, well, you're getting inferior hacks.

The price of vbseo was originally established with the current branding option. If vbseo wants to give up the value that the branding gives them, that's their call. But if it was me, I'd increase the price.
