Question Big Question: Should I Purchase vBSEO?

Hello Everyone, I’m in a dilemma to purchase vBSEO. We run a country specific Automobile forums (vbulletin 3.8.x) which focuses on all subjects and latest news about cars, bikes and their tech. side including International Auto Scene. Currently, Our board has 21,000+ Posts but only 250+ Members and among them only 5-8 are active contributers.

I've tried what all I know to build up SEO. In fact I recently even installed the vbseo sitemap generator and must say that it has proved to be a lot of help, Not in terms of getting members though but by building up presence our site on web. Now, I feel that it is high time to get some members otherwise existing members will too loose the interest, so decided to give a thought on purchasing vBseo because I'm wondering when its little sitemap generator can do a magic, What will happen after installing the complete vBseo?

Frankly Speaking, I've gone through most of the posts here and other forums about vbseo and found equally positive as well as negative views but unfortunately, This has helped me to push in more confusions rather. So, I'd like to know some true views and opinions by real vbseo users.

I'm very well aware that vbseo is a no magic wand which will give thousands of visitors overnight and I've to do a li'l effort on my part as well but I'm hoping that after installing it situation of my site will at least get better than of current and I wont have to sit 24 hours only to keep my forums active and posting regularly. Nevertheless, I'm hoping for some value able inputs here which will guide me whether to spend big $150 bucks or not? Also, I'd like to tell that our forums are currently on a shared host and I've heard that after installing vbseo, Server gets more loaded, So will I have to switch on a higher hosting plans such as VPS etc?

Experts & vBSEO user, Looking forward for your honest opinions and guidance.

    Cheers.

You will always see a split of success and failures. vBSEO is a tool. It is not "install and OMG i beat google!". Those who put the effort in and contribute to their sites, perfect the on-page seo, work on back links, content, and sites which have a topic of interest usually succeed.
What many people fail to understand is that there are niche's out there that no matter what you do, the odds are against you. Forums that have been around 10+ years and 100k+ members... why should they go to your site and talk to themselves when they can go else where and get responses?

You need to offer something unique, even if its about the same topic. I'm not talking about arcades or any of that non-sense.... those won't keep members coming back. It's the same reason why you chose Luigi's hometown pizza over generic delivery.

What that is in YOUR niche is up to you to find out. vBSEO will help you land visitors, but it's your job to keep them coming back.

Hello Brian, Thanks for the response.
I agree what you say and as I told that our community is related to Automobiles, Some threads keep popping up which may be of interest to others but what my main concern is about value which I pay for this product should be worth it, Also I'd like to know will I have to upgrade on higher hosting plans such as VPS etc after purchasing vBSEO or a shared server will suffice? Because I've heard that vBSEO creates some load on the server. Thanks.

    cheers.

vBSEO added about .2 load to my server, so yes, it does use a bit of resources, mostly from invoking the mod_rewrite engine of apache. If you're hosting is sufficient now, it likely will be fine with vbseo.
If you're at the limits of your hosting, I'd suggest upgrading before installing.

In my personal opinion, not as a staff member, but as a client, vBSEO is very worth it. It saved my dying forum back in 2006.

Thanks Brian. My forum is not really at the limits of server. I'm currently on a shared host and stats of forum I've already mentioned in first post. So I hope it'll work after installing vBSEO as I'm currently short on $$ as well so don't intend to spend on a higher hosting plan. Anyways, Thanks for all the help. I'm considering to purchase it by next month and Yes, One Question - Are there any chances of getting discount on a single license if you guys offer any coupon code scheme etc?

Thanks, Any special tips for that? Or do we just need to keep generating new content?

    Cheers.

Our discount for licenses does not go in effect until your 3rd license. New vBSEO Bulk Discount Policy
At this time, we do not have any sales/codes.

Content is and always will be king. vbseo helps get your content noticed. Without content, vbseo is worthless.

Hello Mert Gökçeimam, Thanks for the response. Actually, I'm much inclined towards the latest 3.5 version for it's new user friendly cp and few other fresh features. So, Won't it be compatible with 3.8.x series? I'm in a no hurry to purchase and can easily wait for a month or two.

    Thanks.

But I guess it is not stable? So when is the stable version of vBSEO 3.5 going to be released? I'll be running it on a vbulletin 3.8.3.

In this time vBSEO 3.5 RC2 Final working fine on my 3.8 forum, However don't forget it's on the RC Stage and any problem is possible but when vBSEO 3.5 Goes Gold it will works without any problem on vb3 forums.

Oh..Thank you marco but isn't there any expected time frame the release could stretch to? Say a month, two months or six months?
As I told earlier, I'm not really in a hurry and can buy one by within next couple of months but I'm really inclined towards the latest 3.5 version, Also it's not possible for me to upgrade the version (if I install 3.3.2) to 3.5. Any ways, Is there any comparison chart between 3.2 and 3.5 version available around? What all are the new improvements/changes in 3.5 actually?

    Cheers.
