    applying VBSEO on an existing website

    Hi.
    we have a big vbulletin web site that is well indexed in google (429,000 pages, 7 years, more then 2,000,000 posts).
    i want to install the vbseo product but i am afraid that my google index will be damaged because all the urls will change.
    can you please give me some info on this situation ?

    Absolutely. Google respects the 301 redirects. In combination with our sitemap, the re-indexing process is accelerated. On top of that, the re-indexing is much more efficient as vBSEO reduces the number of duplicate/noise content in the index.

    In fact, you can dramatically increase crawling efficiency if you first check to see how much traffic you get to showposts (likely very little to none) and consider disabling them. More here on how to do that:

    I hear Yahoo is not so good with 301 redirects. So, Does this affect existing rankings in Yahoo (although Yahoo is no big deal) and what about Live?? Thanks for the clarification.
