Yes, and I was asking these questions to determine this. I now have my answer, thanks.

For the future, perhaps you should consider that your morals do not represent the majority of the population of the united states.
Maybe you should consider their right to choose to run their business how they see instead of forcing your beliefs onto them?

Maybe you should consider that before you barge into here acting like your beliefs are superior to everyone elses?

    They aren't, trust me.

    Yes.

*edit* Also, Jelsoft will and have revoke/d licenses based on illegal/immoral content.

So, from your post, I infer that because we are focused to have a vBSEO copyright link at the very very bottom of each of our pages, this reflects badly on Crawlability and the vBSEO product? Because I never asked for this link, nor is it welcomed.
While we currently do not offer a branding-free option, there are 10 possible copyright texts. You may choose to have any one of 5 linked, or 5 non-linked options.

    Thank you for your information.
Based on the responses here I believe I will seek out an alternative solution.
They may not be as good, but at least they aren't pushing an agenda.

Questions answered, thread may be closed.

There are no alternative solutions. (Not trying to be an ass, there just isn't.) Unless you want to go the unsupported and undeveloped route (which I doubt because you were interested in this).

No one is pushing an "Agenda". VBSEO is not on a mission to rid the world of Porn, Warez sites and other illegal activity.

They have written a script for vBulletin that is of amazing quality and in doing so they have chosen for their script to not be associated with sites listed in their AUP.

No matter how you try to play their decision off it is nothing more than them basing their business model on their beliefs.

agreed. don't waste your time with vwrite or zoints. they are a hack job at best.

If your site doesn't even fall into those items, i don't see what the big deal even is? it doesn't effect you in the least.

What they are doing is no less "intrusive" than every restaurant in the US.
No shoes, No shirt, No service.

if you want to walk into a diner with no shirt on, you will not be served and asked to leave.
the diner doesn't want that guy there, as it possibly will drive other ligament business away.

do you not eat out any where, because they chose not to serve people who don't meet their EULA, even though you have a shirt and shoes on?

as for the branding issue-- you can convert from either linked or unlined as suggested, as well as having the linked version use an affiliate code (free to sign up) so you can get money on your referrals.

I don't run a webmaster board at all (i'm in automotive) and through my referral link, i've more than earned back my license money from other people clicking through and purchasing.

I am a vbseo customer and agree with some of what liquidx has said. The policy does not affect any of my current interests, but I do think it is overbearing.

The branding free issue is of concern to me, but I should not be complaining about it in the 'pre-sales' forum. Vbseo is the best solution at the moment for people who do not want a branding free version. The product and service are excellent.
