I know vBSEO has 303 redirects for the default vBulletin URLs, but what if vBSEO settings are changed resulting in URLs no longer the same? vBSEO won't 303 redirect the old settings, as well, will it?

It depends on how drastic the change in URL format. If the ThreadID is in the same location, then vBSEO will 301 redirect it fine. For more drastic changes, a manual addition to the .htaccess file may be needed.
Thanks. And I meant 301, not 303 obviously![]()
Hey Jason,
vBSEO will 301 redirect vB's dynamic URLs to whatever custom settings you have selected
If you mean historic changes, i.e. forum/[thread_id]-[thread_title].html to forum/[thread_title]-[thread_id].html, vBSEO 3.0.0 is now equiped with a new feature for custom redirects which allows you to create these redirects sitewide without having to modify your .htaccess file. Questions regarding this feature are posted here.
On the other hand, if the pattern within the URLs is the same, but a change to an individual thread has been made, vBSEO will automatically 301 redirect to the real thread location. Example:
I just renamed this thread from:
303 Redirects for Changed Settings?
to:
301 Redirects (not 303 Redirects) for Changed Settings?
Please visit the old URL here:
