I'm glad to announce that we are one step closer to the final release of vBSEO v.3.0.0 with vBSEO RC3!

vBSEO v.3.0.0 Release Candidate 3 is now available from the download area. All vBSEO Owners may download it now here:

Automatically update Ping Services
Last week, Keith highlighted the new Ping/Trackback feature in vBSEO 3.0.0. This feature enables you to:

• Easily establish relevant link exchanges (Google has stated relevant link exchanges are more important than ever before)
• Increase awareness of your community within the blog/forumsphere
• Have some fun while providing a richer experience for your users

But that's not all, the benefit of the pinging capability is two-fold as vBSEO will automatically update services such as Ping-O-Matic and Technorati with your forum's updated threads/posts. These services work as Search Engines for the blogosphere, forumsphere and "you-name-it-publishing-platform-sphere" . Other services available include:

In order to add/edit additional services to your automatic pings, navigate to the Ping/Trackbacks (forum-root/vbseocp.php#pingbacks) section within your vBSEO CP and find the Update Services setting.

A little offtopic, but my rankings/traffic has gone up a lot since removing link vault from my site (had it on for 5 months)

All the updates will be outlined in the Gold release announcement. However, we are in a feature-freeze since the pre-release versions came out. Therefore, no, this feature was already built in, I just thought it 'd be nice to give you guys an advance on a valuable feature within v.3.0.0

I'm waiting for the all together. vBulletin 3.6.0 - vBSEO 3.0.0
and will also install vBSEO Google/Yahoo Sitemap Generator v.1.6.1 (or an update) at the same time.

Just a reminder for those of you also running vBSEO Sitemap, you need to upgrade to the pre-release v1.7 if you are using vBSEO 3.0.0.

Oh sweet! I meant changes from RC2 to RC3 though...?
