vBSEO Style 1.0 PRO - Released for Everyone

The vBSEO Style 1.0 has received an upgrade and is now being released Free to ALL Members of the vBulletin community (both vBSEO and non-vBSEO forums alike).

The new version is much lighter and elegantly coded. While the look is almost identical to the original, the coding was given a major usability and performance overhaul. It is now officially called vBSEO Style 1.0 PRO reflecting the following great updates:
    • Max CSS Usage- Style changes are applied almost entirely via CSS
    • Easy Color Changes
      • Top menu changed without images
      • Rounded corners changed without images
    • Faster Display - Renders to users quicker (image reduction)
    • Less Template Edits included
    • Browser Quirks Fixed
    • Plays Well with Plugins - Won't conflict with other plugins installed
Our 1.0 style has always received excellent reviews and is in use on many of our customers forums. Now that it is even easier to customize, we encourage you to try it out. We are always flattered and very happy when we discover a new forum using the 1.0 style adapted with your custom logos and color schemes.

As vBSEO's original design, it has been run successfully here at vbseo.com for 4 years. In fact, it was created as an extremely lightweight and easy to navigate style, with a subtle white based color scheme that is easy on the eyes (allowing for extended forum activity with reduced eye strain). It's worked out very well for us and our customers.

Most of all, it allowed forums to have a professional looking style with just a few minor updates.

Believe it or not, the quality of your style impacts the instant decision visitors make: stay or go?

With the vBSEO 1.0 style we think we've helped move your visitors in the direction of "stay"! Make them sticky. =)

Effective immediately, we are making it available FREE to ALL vBulletin forums. You do NOT have to be maxed out with vBSEO to use the style, although it's certainly encouraged!

The download has been activated at vbulletin.org.

Are you using the vBSEO 1.0 style? We would love to see your customizations. Please post your link or screen capture in this thread.

Important Note: vBSEO Style 1.0 PRO is for vBulletin 3.8.x versions only.

    This is pretty cool.

With it being 100% CSS the upgrade to 4.0 would/should be pretty easy! As long as to much isn't changed after install.

    Very nice indeed.

    Thanks guys great work

Hahahaha. I just finally upgraded to VB 3.8 last week. Been waiting for an updated skin since April. I finally gave up waiting and when I upgraded to vbulletin 3.82 it of course broke the the old version of vbseo skin. Just got the default vbulletin skin all tweaked and customized to match the style we are going for on Monday.

And then you release this. Ahahahahaha.

I guess I know what I'm doing at work tomorrow

    Awesome.

ffective immediately, we are making it available FREE to ALL vBulletin forums. You do NOT have to be maxed out with vBSEO to use the style, although it's certainly encouraged!
That is a shame, since we pay for your product, you think we would get exclusive content or assistance in getting our forums to run smoother an quicker, but also be SEO compliant.. is this just a money making stunt, since all your themes will link back to "blah blah blah vBSEO.com"?

I’m abit ashamed to say I paid for this product, and have no added features, was always good that when people asked where an how I got my style, I would say "you need to have vBSEO to use it, as its only available to their clients.

The wait as been abit disappointing

I'm 100% with you on this Martyn! I don't use the theme, but it should of stayed exclusive!

It now just smells like VBSEO is interested in "Mo' Money, Mo' Money, Mo' Money" rather than supporting it's dedicated following. Why start giving the originally exclusive products to VBSEO owners to every tom, dick and harry?

I would like to use left sidebar. vBSEO style does not have sidebar. How could I modify it to make a left sidebar?

Thank-you for the feedback. However, like our sitemap plugin, conditional signatures plugin, and others that we plan to create, we do intend to make them available to share with all members of the vBulletin community. Now that the 1.0 style has been released, 2.0 is next to launch. It will begin its public release as an exclusive style for vBSEO customers; however, it will also become available for everyone once we begin moving into our 3rd generation style (TBD).

We apologize for the delay in the release, but are happy that vBSEO Style 1.0 PRO is available with significant enhancements.

Martyn: You mentioned you would like some assistance with your forum. Please open a critique thread so that we can provide you with some additional tips.

Didn't really see a problem with them releasing it to everyone at all especially since version 2 will be out soon.

If anything I think it is quite generous for them to release it for free to everyone. I would think if it was a 'money making stunt' like you said they would have started selling it to none vbseo users.

We pay for vbseo not for styles.
