vBSEO Sitemap Generator 2.5 Released

Our vBSEO Google/Yahoo Sitemap Generator, Version 2.5 has been officially released.

For those of you not yet running the vBSEO Sitemap, we want to remind you that it is a separate plugin from vBSEO. vBSEO + the sitemap work hand in hand to maximize your SEO. If your forum is vBSEO enabled, you should also be running our sitemap.

The vBSEO sitemap is the fastest way to keep Google (Yahoo & Ask) up to date on all of your content, speeding up the indexing process, and helping vBSEO accelerate the process of delivering you more long tail search hits!

Upgrade Instructions

(1) Follow the installation/upgrade instructions provided in the docs/readme.html file.

Upgraded, hopefully I will have the sitemap auto generate as I have had to do it manually lately.

- Manually ran it, and I went to google webmaster tools. Last downloaded 4 minutes ago. Status: Warnings

- Clicked on details. Every single one shows up with Warnings.

Sitemap errors and warnings

- URLs not followed
When we tested a sample of URLs from your Sitemap, we found that some URLs redirect to other locations. We recommend that your Sitemap contain URLs that point to the final destination (the redirect target) instead of redirecting to another URL.

That is set to no. (has been on no for about a year)

You receive those errors since you include showpost urls to your sitemaps.

Is it good NOT to include showpost URLs into sitemap? Mine is included by default from the very beginning. Should I disable it?
