Ticket 9790 is allready opened. Have added a FTP Login for you.

I've added "vbseo_sitemap" into another rewrite condition in .htaccess and it works now: http://www.politikstube.de/forum/sitemap_index.xml.gz

First Solution so far. But did you know why http://www.politikstube.de/forum/vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_getsitemap.php?sitemap=$1 is still not working?

That should NOT work, this is just a part of rewrite rule. Your sitemap URL is: http://www.politikstube.de/forum/sitemap_index.xml.gz

What's this all about:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 20971520 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 12984182 bytes)

You should either increase memory_limit setting in PHP configuration or try to start sitemap generator again (it will resume generation).

How large should I increase my memory limit to?

Why is it having problems now when before (in old sitemap generator plugin) there was no problem?

It has new URL formats included now, exact memory_limit setting depends on specific server environment and total number of URLs.
