vBSEO Sitemap Generator 2.2 Released

I installed v 2.2 last night, but I cannot get the generator to create the .xml or .gz files. When I run it manually, I get the following:

...and that's it. Shouldn't it report some sort of confirmation that it completed or something?

When I look in the /vbseo_sitemap/data/ folder, there is a sitemap_1.xml.gz and a urllist.txt.gz with the correct date/time stamps, but shouldn't there also be a .xml?

sitemap_1.xml.gz IS the sitemap. It's in a compressed file format (gzip'ed).

Btw, you shouldn't include showpost pages in the sitemap.

Yeah, but shouldn't there also be a .xml file (not gzipped?)

Also, why shouldn't showpost pages be included? And if so, why isn't that the default? (this is a brand new install and I left all the defaults).

You should also have sitemap_index.xml.gz file in data/ folder. Please try to view html source of the page when sitemap generation stops and see if there is db error message included in it.

Mine only creates .xml.gz files.

I just checked Google Webmaster tools and for site maps it says the following

Total URLs in Sitemap 24681
Indexed URLs in Sitemap 2106

Is this indicative of a problem or does it just take time to index the urls in the sitemap? There are well more than 2106 threads on the board, not mention the pagination, etc.

It is working as expected. Google cannot index your urls in 1 day. They started indexing the urls.

Just checked th option at the top since I am using this with vBSEO now, how difference will I notice?

vBSEO Sitemap Generator and vBSEO works perfect together. Just make sure you donot include showpost pages to your sitemaps ( this is my suggestion )

I have the vB in a nested / wrapped /forum/ directory. When submitting a sitemap to Google, should I put the site map in the root or the /forum/ root? If in root - what to put in the .htaccess file to make those changes?
