So the data folder stays with the 777 permissions?

Do I have to do anything through Google for the sitemap or will it just crawl automatically?

Once you are done with the installation, you need to add it to your Google Webmaster Tools account: Verifying your vBSEO Google/Yahoo Sitemap Generator is Installed Correctly

I just realized that Bing also has a webmasters area. I submitted the sitemap there to. I don't know what is up with Bing, but my site will only show up if I search for the url directly. Bing will pull up super old sites with no content in them over mine. I am hoping the sitemap will help. Going from #3 in Google to a no show in Bing is odd.
