vBSEO Search Engine XML Sitemap 3.0 Gold Released

Hello vBSEO customers and friends,

We are extremely pleased to inform the community that a fully revamped version of the vBSEO Search Engine XML Sitemap (previously "vBSEO Google/Yahoo Sitemap Generator") v.3.0, is being released to all licensed vBulletin users effective immediately!



Following the vBSEO Sitemap pre-release announcement, the new sitemap, now officially named vBSEO Search Engine XML Sitemap 3.0, has been released via vBulletin.org (here), and is available for vBSEO customers to download via the downloads area, here.

Note: The NEW vBSEO Search Engine XML Sitemap 3.0 replaces all previous versions of the "vBSEO Google/Yahoo Sitemap Generator", and includes support for all the new URL types in vBulletin 4.x.

New in the vBSEO Search Engine XML Sitemap v.3.0
The new sitemap alters the way data is structured in fundamental ways. Sitemap 3.0 segments different content areas into separate files, so you end up with a unique set of files per content type: forums, blogs, cms, groups, albums, members, tags, etc. In addition, the new sitemap has an extended priority feature that utilizes the built in 'weight' tool of the vBulletin XML sitemap generator for individual forums, CMS sections and articles to act as a multiplier.

We believe these changes are responsible for delivering increased returns for a number of forums from customers and testers we've been tracking. Please track your own progress via your Google Webmaster tools account, Google Analytics or Gravity Insights.

just has a small bug. The second link in option "Use Custom Priority" is not exact. It should be http://xxxxxxxxx/xxxx/sitemap.php not just http://xxxxxxxxx/xxxx/sitemap.

Yes, we are aware of this issue. It has already been fixed in our development area. You can simply use the main navigation in the left frame for the time being to access the vb sitemap area.

Thanks Fabio! However, I am confused. I installed the vBSEO Sitemap Generator 3.0 Gold some days ago. Should I upgrade to vBSEO Search Engine XML Sitemap 3.0 now?

A quick feedback

On google, webmastertools stats went up for in the past few days.

Before sitemap 3, indexed pages go one step down/up around 24K of total 44K links
After sitemap 3, indexed pages are around 35K of total 45K links.

+ site:domain.com site searching went up

However, I haven't notice any viewable difference on "Search Queries" but I know that it also goes well soon.

That was the pre-release version. This is the latest.

Note that search queries are a few days behind in webmaster tools. it may take 5 days to see when you first installed this.
