Yes, "please" make an option for individual users to turn it completely off in their UserCP. It brings forums to a crawl, and makes them horrible to use.

Do you mean "individual admins"? I just want to emphasize that the LiveStats plugin is mostly designed for admins only. We have it open here for all to see as a demo only.

I disabled the plugin because it seemed to generating much too much trafic between vBseo.com, Analytics and my pages it slowed down the dispaying of the page (only for me indeed but...)

Google just released the public beta version of the Google Analytics API after running a private beta program with hundreds of developers for about a year. And here is cool new adobe air based desktop app http://www.desktop-reporting.com/polaris.html for google analytics.

Polaris looks interesting. I hope they provide skinning options. Not crazy about the Kermit version.

Update, the vBSEO team started porting Livestats for Google Analytics to SaaS version like... (8 minutes?) after Google released the official announcement on GA's API yesterday.

What does this means to you?

• Cross-platform compatible (use it on any site, not just vB forums or WP blogs)
• Easier installs: Add a simple line of js code OR load it as a bookmarklet (no installation needed in this case)
• Privacy concerns wiped out
• More functionality, faster
• Instant upgrades
• (Possibly) faster loading times - will know once tested
• Others (can't remember right now )

Why does it ask for email and password in the admin CP?

Is this to log all admins in automatically that don't have Google Analytics? I entered my info here and when I clicked the Stats tab on my forum it wanted me to login, is their something wrong here?

the login is that of your google analytics account, not your vb info.

if you entered your info into the CP options and its still prompting you, you either typo'ed the password or have the wrong account ID for analytics.

I couldn't get ine working at first either, and it was because i have multiple accounts on my gmail account. I made a new user as a 'report viewer' and ONLY for that one domain, and used THAT account ID and it worked.

Ok I will try to mess around with something like that.

The account I was using has my Analytics for two sites so it may be throwing the plugin off.

Each site has a unique id , please copy the unique site id and save it within Admincp
