    vBSEO.com 1.0 Style Released for vBSEO-enabled forums

    Hello everyone,

I'm glad to announce we are now making the vBSEO skin available officially as a non-supported product.

There has been a very strong demand from our user base for this skin. Once our vBSEO 3.0 GOLD release was finalized, we made it a priority to get our skin into the hands of all vBSEO customers who have been requesting it.

Just for some background insight, here is the basic philosophy that we adhered to while designing the skin:
    • Provide the maximum SEO value, with the minimal number of derivations from the vBulletin original.
    • Reflect the spirit of the original vBulletin theme.
    • Provide semantic value to the html output assigning highest significance to the site's name/logo (H1 in our case), H2 for the page title in forumdisplay and showthread, and intro in paragraph format using Relevant Replacements. This can be easily converted to an image logo/H1 forumdisplay and showthread title, H2 navbar breadcrumb (or H2 bulleted site navigation) and H3 for individual post titles, or similar layouts. You may discuss those here.
    • Keep enhanced usability a top priority.
This much anticipated release is just one of several important announcements from vBSEO that will occur during the next few months!

    Thank-you for your continued support.

    Good Idea.

What happens to other Styles with the Plugin? Did this work?

    Very nice,

but I have Problems to set it up:

So the Forumdescription and the Text to each Thread are not showing up. I think I have to setup Relevant Replacements?

Can anyone help me with this, I would go the same way as vbseo is doing here.

Another Question: How to make the Link Box on the forumhome like here the vbulletin related Links - Area?

    Regards André

Never thougt that the Style will be released in this week. *g*

Help please! - If you click on a link on my forum it goes to my old default skin. Can someone else please follow a link and click on a topic to verify this for me.

    link to my site
It may be best to not listen to anything I say for advice. :spin:

The vBSEO skin looks awful compared to your Blue and Pink (no disrespect to vBSEO) Stick to your existing one. Personnally it would put me off, a skin should be unique to a site not mirror someone elses.

I'm going to change it up a little bit by hopefully changing the colours and also the icons.

I suggest you go to your vB admincp > vB Options > vBSEO.com 1.0 Style Modifications and enter the specific ID for the vBSEO skin as it is distorting your default (blue & pink) layout due to the header tags in the default vB headers.

Agree, you default skin looks very nice. I'd try to integrate the header SEO aspects of the vBSEO skin into your layout as opposed to changing the whole skin.

You may also want apply your default skin colors to the vBSEO skin. This is how a pre-release member's vBSEO template looks with a little tweaking:
