I'm guessing they will add vbseo likes to the importer if a few more people request it...

July 20th Update: They just added vbseo likes!

The problem I have with VBSEO, is that you cannot just leave them.

You are screwed from the day you install it, I have 600,000 pages in google. and I want to use the standard vbulletin urls.

but I can't without losing every page I have in google.

This is great. I was worried about the 'likes' part of weeding out vBSEO.

Does anyone have a solution for redirects to existing URLs to get rid of vBSEO?

You know having too many pages indexed in google is not a positive thing ...

I have 4 forums and I use robots.txt to block unwanted URLS to prevent over-indexation of my useless URLs in google. you should always concentrate on your threads and forms and nothing more. I am sure your problem is not vbseo since it optimize about 70% of your SEO and the remaining is related to your templates and server...

I purchased the pro version for my site since I have now completely removed vBSEO from it.

Well, I just did. I did not have this many URLs, but I decided that if I had to move from it then it was better to do it now than later. I may keep the license for another forum in the future, but I have paid for a full license + another year of support for nothing as no development took place in 18 months.

If they finally get the head out of their collective a$$ then I may rethink, but they're not even answering to this thread, so I am not holding my breath. They don't seem to even have a road-map on any future things.

I only have threads, I do have custom pages from my CD Cover site... which is around 100,000

But I can't leave VBSEO without google seriously fooking my site for 404's.

And I am 100% sure that extra load times on my forums homepage is due to VBSEO, and there updated NGINX rewrites do not work for my site, i need to use there bloated original rewrite.

I'd like some vision back in this product if it is truly going to still be around when vb5 launches.

    Let's have some answers.

We are Tier 1 alpha/beta testers for the vB5 product (which is looking solid btw). The vB dev team is working with us to ensure vBSEO compatibility as early as possible once vB5 stable gets released. Our goal by participating in the beta is not only to help vB launch a better product, but to vBSEO-enable it as soon as possible.

So what do think Juan about helping me move my URLS over to the vbulletin system.

Is there a script for this, I feel trapped.

I do not care for all the extras, just the URL rewrites, as I cannot uninstall your software without messing up my google ranking.

Isn't this convenient. You don't talk about us for months and when we start complaining you come out and announce that you're on alpha on an unreleased product.

<sarcasm>where do I send my money for this wonderful new product, or will I get it free for last year paid support with no support given??</sarcasm>

I don't care whether vBSEO will support vB5. Algorithms have changed, and I believe that this SEO software is irrelevant anymore and only adds bulk to a website. Case in point - I have a fairly decent site with good relative content. I haven't moved in rankings in aspect to my competitors who don't use the plugin. It's a big sham. If your site has good relevant content and keeps up to date, you will be ranked good. Google's system has progressed beyond being able to manipulate SEO through installing a plugin.

vBSEO, for a number of years, was a very useful tool. The environment has changed, and we can hardly blame vBSEO for that.

For those of us who would like to uninstall the product now, the main thing that is preventing us from doing that is our URLs. It would be nice to have a way to uninstall the product, yet be able to retain our URL structure.

Any assistance in keeping our existing URLs after vBSEO removal would be very much appreciated.
