vBSEO 3.5 Release Candidate 1 is here!

I was hoping that vBSEO 3.5 Gold was going to be released before February, but now I am less sure it can be the case.

Will the vbSEO RC 2 be released soon as vbulletin 4.0.1 is out now and it would be a good time to try both out?

Yah I'm waiting for RC2 as well so that I can upgrade my live forum

In past releases, The vbSEO version would usually be released immediately alongside with the final version of vBulletin...whenever a major upgrade was released..

I dont know much about the underworkings here... but it almost seems like vBulletin deliberately wanted to speed ahead here so users would just settle with 'their' SEO version..

thoughts ?

RC2 is currently in QA process. Now that vb has dropped 4.0.1 we need to re-test items on that platform as well. As always, we do not not provide dates as they are subject to many changes and variables (namely, what vb does) is completely out of our control. We are forced to follow their moves.

Neither of the styles are compatible with vb4.
Updates to our B-products like signatures will not happen until 3.5 is gold, as all our efforts are focused on this.

Can't wait to the gold, my homepage with the vbulletin cms, vbseo makes it use /content.html instead wish there was some way to make it use the same root.

With vBSEO 3.5 RC2, set your CMS Home URL to http://yoursite.com/ (or http://www.yoursite.com/), that will get rid of the /content.html redirection.

It works ok in RC2 however we are looking at ways to make vBSEO auto-detect the user's preferred structure and canonicalize the CMS (or forum) homepage as the site's root.
