Will do. Can you give some tips on changing the navbar to the correct links for the moved forum and CMP. I know it's in the header but it seems to use phrases and If I change it on the CMS it's not changing on all pages.

With the code change in step7, no template edits are necessary to reflect the paths.

I have the code from step 7 in place, it was already added in my version. The home button still links to the Forum not the CMS.

I figured out the button issue, one of my changes didn't save when I did it. However,

Is that particular edit supposed to deal with an Internet Explorer issue? There are things that aren't displaying in IE that do display properly in Firefox. I can't figure out what's wrong. Food Network Fans - Welcome to Food Network Fans

That is simply invalid (per layout) CSS. the insides is bigger than its container, so it pushes out of the box.
ie and ff handle the box mode differently.

Is there a instruction page somewhere that can help me with editing this in Vbulletin? I think upgrading has become like those internet treasure hunts. You find one piece of information and have to keep searching for all the details. LOL

    Not that i know of.

Likely, you need to fix widths in your sidebar. make them thinner. Borders and margins and padding all count in the width of the element.

if you have a 200px wrapper and a 2px border and 2 px padding, you only have 192 px of content width left. any more than that will overflow.

CMS Root as home page- questions

    Hi,

My site (cms+forum) will be in Hebrew and the VB is set to UTF-8
the site is a renew and adding forum to high ranking site based on WP.

the current site (with ranking) is based on "directory" address like:
    example.com/dir/
the test installation is now at example.com/test/

I also think that the guys in VB must be crazy to release Gold that way ...with content/ +forum/ home pages.
after all these years they still don't have a clue about SEO or CMS functionality...-amazing.
    anyway-I need to fix it.

My programmer will change the default navigation of the renew site to new navigation bar and remove direct links to cms "home" from it.

I saw the detailed explanation about setting the CMS root as home page

because I dealing with existing site in Hebrew/ UTF-8 I want to know if this instructions vBSEO 3.5 Release Candidate 1 is here!
is the one that I should use.

what setting exactly to configure the vBSEO to allow URL's like that

    CMS Root: example.com/dir/
    Article under segment/category: example.com/dir/segment-(hebrew)/category-(hebrew)/article title-(hebrew)

    hope its clear enough....

    thanks

if you renamed forum.php to index.php, you will need to do that again (and every time) if you updated vb.

Also make sure you've saved your password/key and entered vbseocp so that it will populate your settings with the datastore variables. if you've done all of this, please open a ticket with login access to check.

Wil this method work for the newly published vb 4.0.3 as well?

I haven't personally tested it, but I don't see why not vB didn't do anything that should have broken this to my knowlege.
