vBSEO 3.2.0 Users - Patch Required for vBulletin 3.8 Update

There are many new features in Vb 3.8 which cant used by vbseo. Can you release at least an beta of vbseo 3.2.5?

The next vBSEO will be made available in pre-release state to both, the pre-release team *and* the general community (meaning all vBSEO customers).

So that means, it still hasn't passed the pre-release state yet??

Even vb 3.8.1 releases today, so would you be starting all your testing again delaying it even more? What exactly is going on your side?

vBSEO's QA process can be quite extensive, especially when there are new URL types introduced within vB.

vBSEO 3.2.5 will be our 2nd biggest update ever in terms of number of new URL types introduced. It includes 20 new URL types and 2 updated types, while our largest update was vBSEO 3.2.0, with 24 new URL types.

I atribute a big part of the effectiveness of vBSEO to our dedicated QA effort in which we ensure all links always point to the canonical URL. This, coupled with the implementation and refinement of new features, along with all other QA assesments (performance assesment, server environments compatibility assesment, gui consistency assesment, etc. etc.), unfortunately, take some time.

At the moment we have only a few pending issues which are being handled by our dedicated lead developers, Oleg and Mert. Once these get resolved, the next vBSEO will be handled to the pre-release team, and shortly after it will be announced to the rest of the customer base.

So basically vb4 will be out by the time vbseo 3.2.5 will be out...

Not sure where that came from, but I doubt it will take nearly that long.

If you are calling this a big update, this means 3.5 is NOWHERE around which was promised to be introduced in early 2009 (which has passed already)

If its such a big update, why not call it 3.5 then? This way we can expect vBSEO 4 alongwith vBulletin 4.

We are not following vBulletin version numbers thats why we donot have a target to release vBSEO 4.0 with vBulletin 4.0.. vBSEO 3.5 will include major improvements including control panel rewrite and other planned features. These features will be introduced to vBSEO community close to 3.5 release. As vBulletin 4.0 is not a major version change , i can easily predict that even vBSEO 3.2.0 will work with vBulletin 4.0 but thats not the subject. The delay is to suply a stable version for vBSEO.

We donot have luxury like other software companies to release a bug fix version so often because even a small bug within url rewrites can cause lots of problems to end users. Thats why we are investigation every newly included url rewrite feature deeply.

There will also be new options within vBSEO 3.2.5 . Some new options are :

• Thread Prefix Support
• Virtual Html Display
• Linkback Hits
• Acronyms to Guest Only

i have one question.

is there any "duplicate content" problem if i use vbseo3.2 with vb3.8.1 ?

What do we need to make vBSEO work with VB 3.8.1?

The same vBSEO patch will work with vB3.8.1 as well.

Just wanted to say that the patched VBSEO file has solved the issues related to Ajax functions on VB 3.8.1 and my forum RSS feed is back to being operational. Thanks for the patched file.

Also - I know this must be hard for you. You found a great product (vBulletin) and noticed that it could be tweaked to give owners an advantage over others using the standard version.

You still continue to take the lead in this effort. I for one appreciate it and although the new version of vBSEO is not out yet, you have supplied a patch to get us by until then. Updates are hard, especially when the software you are tying into are doing so many updates themselves.

I see a lot of people complaining and not enough giving you support. I for one have benefited far, far beyond the amount I paid for your software and want you to know how much I appreciate your efforts.

ive just added the patch to 3.8.1 with no problems now how dow we update this line
