vBSEO 3.2.0 Users - Patch Required for vBulletin 3.8 Update

You should upgrade to vBSEO 3.2.0 as vBSEO releases also contains several bug fixes that occur on previous versions.

I would prefer to wait for 3.2.5 release and it may also mean we get a patch release of vBulletin 3.8 or at least get all mods converted.

An ETA for VBSEO is appreciated as it help to plan things at our end.

Hello Basit, we do not provide ETA's so that way we will not rush and make mistakes. However, I do not see it taking too long for it.

Well that's not what i asked, i just wanted to know if vBSEO 3.1 had conflicts which i assumed vBSEO would know based purely on the code causing the issue being present in 3.1 or not.

As for bugs, no I've never struck one and everything is working flawlessly so i have no reason to change versions. Also yes my license is active and i "can" download 3.2

However after evaluating the latest "features" of vB 3.8.0 i won't be upgrading that either, so.. Looks like i have nothing to do

You should upgrade to vBSEO 3.2.0. You can read the announcement to see the bugs that were discovered in version 3.1.0 that have been corrected in version 3.2.0. There are also some new features you may wish to take advantage of, and we encourage you to check them out.

Nah it's cool, i'm quite familiar with 3.2 i upgraded about 7 clients sites to it in just the first 10 days after it was released and done a ton of work with it since.

My board is as minimal as possible, every vB feature is off and even ones that are supposed to be there are gone like icon keys, calendar, memberlist etc.

There's no bugs or new features i need, so unless there's security issues i have no need to upgrade vBSEO as it currently does everything i want.

Yeppers, when i said there's no bugs i should of clarified and said there's none effecting my install. Also i have modded 3.1 to have unique file names so none of the default vBSEO file names are used on my site anymore, if i upgraded to 3.2 i'd want to do the same again.

I was going to upgrade to vB 3.8 but i'm not going to do that now after the issues surrounding the release.

But don't worry, i will be keeping my vBSEO license active even though i don't use support and i'm running on old code simply because i don't mind paying a few bucks a year for a good product.

I'm not trying to force you to upgrade. That's up to you.

Just curious though. When you used unique file names, you mean URLs, or you actually renamed the vBSEO php files, functions, etc?

I actually renamed every vBSEO php file, every .js file, .xml file, the /vbseo/ image directory the works.. You name it, i renamed it!

vBSEO 3.0 version was encoded and vBSEO 3.2.0 is not which will definately can help you on your load problems cause most users saw perfonmance gains with the unencoded version.

this patch to work in 3.8.0 and arabic .. !

You need to unzip the file and upload it to your forum directory.

unzipped it and upload it to vb root
still with Ajax .. just Ajax =)
