Hey, this isn't news that breaking promises about release dates is a common phenomenon among developers, we should not act like surprised that a week has passed and "nothing happened". Calculations on paper may tell the approx release date of a new code version but then in practice you never know when an unexpect bug takes away more time than expected. Question is would customers prefer getting the release on time or waiting more and give time for the extra work to be completed properly...
