You lot are great. The support is top notch. Take as long as you need--that way, we can end up with an overall bug free product (well, not totally bug free--because there is always a bug in something )

Yes, sure, but I mean, sometimes developer pause a development to concentrate on other things. Like another version being more important for that moment.

Any chance of a weekly build download? Would speed up debugging no end I would imagine.

VBSEO will not pause the 3.2 to work on 3.5 or other project's. Right now we are in RC and there goal i'm sure is to release the gold one (A.S.A.P) when they feel the bug's are all squashed. VBSEO works different from vbulletin and there upgrades. lol

After the gold release then they can work on there car's or another version... etc

Come on folks, just relax and wait it out. It'll be worth the wait like all of there versions are.

Just out of curiosity, how many Release Candidates will be out there until the final release of Gold?

as many as it takes to clear the bugs and introduce another round of testing of those fixes.

having a fixed-number of anything beta or RC is just, well, dumb.... as that's that whole point of the process.

Any update on the progress of this?

I would prefer another RC release if it squashes some of the more serious RC5 bugs and we don't have to wait so long... I'm updating 3 forums/licenses once RC6 comes out. I think RC5 still has too many bugs for a live VB 3.7 site.

its been a long wait since rc5 was released publicly til the next public release. Is something big holding things up more then usual?

Had they released this to the public, i'm sure no one's ticket's would have gotten solved in a timely fashion.

Just the sitemap generator fix for rc5 alone spawned like 50 or so threads asking the same thing.

It's the whole point of pre-release. the dev's work with a trusted group who know the software well and can find things and possibly even offer suggestions for a patch on it.

If you want to help out, you can apply in the groups module for it and perhaps they will accept you for pre-release.

Until then, sit tight vbseo is working on releasing some solid software in the very near future.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but vB 3.7 Gold was released about a month ago (4-29-08), and they've recently released 3.7.1, but if we're currently using the latest stable vBSEO version (3.1), we shouldn't upgrade yet?

I am running 3.7 (updating to 3.7.1 later today).
VBSEO 3.1 works fine with 3.7, but does not change the url's of new social features.

Yeh it works fine but as it doesnt rewrite the tags url's this will cause a little problems in rankings later on so I suppose if you have upgraded to 3.7 just dont use the tags for the time being untill vbseo 3.2 gold is released...
