Google sitemaps is giving me an HTTP error regarding the listing of sitemap URLs I have in Google. Here's the error: HTTP error The server returned an error when we tried to access the URL provided. Please make sure the Sitemap URL is correct and resubmit your Sitemap

I checked the URLs and they're correct according to vBSEO sitemap creator. http://www.mysite.com/myforum/sitemap_1.xml.gz etc

I of course tried the URLs but instead of downloading a file, it dumped me into the forum.

Where else should I look.

Make sure that you have .htaccess rewriterule added according to Sitemap Generator installation instructions.

The code you offered is different from the code in the v1.2 readme file.

The code that I proposed (Few questions re: Google Sitemap) is the same as in 1.2 readme (the second in your post) The first code was valid prior to Sitemap Generator 1.2.
