vBSEO 2.1 has been officially released. It includes several new fixes for recently reported bugs as well as several great new features to (a) ensure full email compliance for vB 3.5 users, (b) direct linking for internal pages, (c) managing links to external websites for whom it is ok to allow PageRank transfer.

Note: Google recently completed its PageRank update. Congratulations to those of you who experienced a boost in PR. Several users saw a boost in PageRank on their forum thread list pages as well as thread pages themselves.
Here is a summary of updates included in vBSEO 2.1:
(1) NEW FEATURE: External domains "Whitelist" - In vBSEO Admin CP you can specify a list of domains that will be linked without rel="nofollow" applied when the Relnofollow ALL External URLs feature is enabled (see 'External Rel=Nofollows' within your vBSEOCP).
(2) NEW FEATURE: Ignore Pages - Using regular expression syntax similar to our Custom Rewrite Rules, you can now define pages that should NOT be optimized by vBSEO.

(3) NEW FEATURE: vB 3.5 Email Compliance - vBSEO will now rewrites all URLs within vB generated emails, including new thread notification emails.

(4) NEW FEATURE: Static CRUs (Content Relevant URLs) can now end in .php.
(5) NEW FEATURE: "Previous Thread" and "Next Thread" links at the bottom of threads now contain the titles of the previous and next threads and link DIRECTLY to the corresponding pages.
(6) NEW FEATURE: Added new advanced settings (available via the config_vbseo.php file) to specify NON-DEFAULT sort order for the member list and forum display pages while maintaining static URLs:

(11) UPDATE: vBSEO now rewrites META keyword and description tags in vB 3.5.
(12) UPDATE: Permissions error message changed.
(13) UPDATE: Compatibility with "Post Thanks" hack.
(14) FIX: PDA link in archive pages.
(15) FIX: Error with replacement of "ß" as "ss" in member profile URLs.
(16) FIX: Error with member profile URLs when member username consists of only underscore characters.
(17) FIX: Fixed error with session hash that allowed SIDs to be displayed during the 1st page visit for some forums.
(18) FIX: Error restoring image attributes with XML import.
(19) FIX: Error with archive pagination.
(20) FIX: Missed comments when running HTML Cleanup.
(21) FIX: Error with PHP as CGI mode detection on Win32 platforms.
(22) FIX: Error with PHP5 on Win32 platforms.
(23) FIX: Error with usernames containing question marks (?).
(24) FIX: Error with image display when a forum uses a non-default image directory.
(25) FIX: Miscellaneous Javascript errors.
(26) FIX: Member profile URLs now have non-English characters removed.
(27) FIX: Error with member list search.
(28) FIX: Error with location indicator links for "Who's online".
(29) FIX: Error with Thread Display Mode as Linear ("Newest First").
(30) FIX: Last Post/ New Post links for threads with 0 replies.
(31) FIX: Error when a duplicate copy of vbseo_config.php is uploaded to the forum root.
Install Instructions:Download Location: All Licensed users may download vBSEO 2.1 from their User Control Panel at the http://www.vbseo.com forums. Under the "Miscellaneous" section, there will be a link to "Download vBSEO".
vBSEO User CP: http://www.vbseo.com/usercp/
(1) Close your forums via your admincp
(2) Remove the vBSEO 2.0 Plugin via your admincp
(3) Install vBSEO as a product by uploading 'product-crawlability_vbseo.xml'
(4) Backup your .XML settings file (through 'forums/vbseocp.php')
(5) Upload all the files in the '/upload' folder
(6) Restore your previous settings by uploading your backup .XML file
(7) Re-open your forums
Note: Steps 2, 3 and 4 are for upgrades only and are not required when you are installing vBSEO for the first time.
