The ability to rewrite other urls is an awesome additon to the hack. And great to see the compression module added.
Thanks heaps.
Now just bring on the release / let me know how I can install on clients sites for how much.

Great, just clicked "Join" <grin>
hum, congratulations, it's a giant step forward indeed. BUT it won't help me in this particular case:
You see, I'm using the nntp hack, which basically synchronize usenet newsgroups with my vb forums.
Everytime a forum member post a message (in my forum), this hack forward this msg to the usenet newsgroup.
At the end of the msg, the URL of the thread in my forum is appended. For example, if I posted this message in alt.cars:
The nntp hack would actually send this msg:PHP Code:hello
As many other websites are providing web-based nntp access/indexing usenet msg (including google groups), the more I have active members posting in my forums, the more backlinks I get (since the appended URL is indexed by other website).PHP Code:hello

It's ultra important for me to have a backlink that looks like this:
instead ofPHP Code:http://www.mywebsite.com/forums/alt-cars/hello-123.html
Now, if you think about it, this isn't an isolated case.PHP Code:http://www.mywebsite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=123
vbSEO, if applied to non-vb URLs, is quit simply a .htaccess on steroid (marketing vbSEO as an enhanced mod_rewrite solution will certainly bring more customers), however, I do think we still need the ability to directly call vbseo engine directly (mainly for advanced coders) to be able to market vbSEO as a better mod_rewrite alternative.
Your opinion?
Just got it installed a few minutes ago and it's great, working perfect.
Sounds real nice...
How 'bout extending this to even modify vBSEO's URL's? I'd really like to do something like: fourmname.sitename.com:/keyword1/keyword2/threadidnumber.html . More importantly, I'm sure a lot of other people have a lot of unique needs for this type of thing.Basically, anything that is not already re-written by vBSEO can be converted to custom defined static versions
I'm still waiting to be approved, over 4 days now :(
Great work
