vBSEO 2.0 Final Re-released for Testers

    Hello Everyone,

Our testing team unearthed a few remaining bugs in the vBSEO 2.0 Final release made yesterday. These bugs have already been corrected.

We are now providing an updated vBSEO 2.0 Final release. All testers are urged to download and install it ASAP to correct those issues.

Peformance: Some testers have reported an increase in server load after installing RC8. We believe we have isolated the issue in the latest vBSEO 2.0 Final. If you noticed additional server load, please install this release and provide us with an update.

Here is a summary of updates included in vBSEO 2.0 Final (Re-release):

    (1) Compatibility with the "Geek Article System" (both vB 3.0.x version & vB 3.5.x beta version) has been established.

    (2) Fixed an issue causing options to be reset, which allowed the following additional bugs to be corrected. This problem was the source of the issue with missing and/or incorrect menubar items on the navbar.

    (3) Corrected an issue that caused the 'new' and 'last' post URLs on the forum homepage to be redirected, but not rewritten.

    (4) When adding image size attributes, vBSEO now ensures that the image does not already have image sizes specified before adding those provided in the vBSEO Admin CP. This fixes an issue that allowed duplicate image height and width attributes to be added to any image with these attributes already included.

Download Location: Testers may download vBSEO from their User Control Panel at the http://www.vbseo.com forums. Under the "Miscellaneous" section, there will be a link to "Download vBSEO".

Note: You must be a member of the forum now to download vBSEO. If you have not yet registered, please do so. You will then find a link in the "Miscellaneous" section of User CP that says "Become a Tester". Click that link and complete the process to register for the vBSEO testing team.

    vBSEO User CP: http://www.vbseo.com/usercp/
    Install Instructions:
    (1) Backup your .XML settings file (through 'forums/vbseocp.php')
    (2) Upload all the files in the '/upload' folder
    (3) Restore your previous settings by uploading your backup .XML file

    So far so good,
overall speed increase on my forum, I'm not getting the severe performance problem i was getting with the first version 2 so thumb up on that

The announcement problem non linking correctly is also working again.
Drop down menu are working without having to re-save setting in admincp in vbulletin.

    Navbar also working correctly...yay!

What does one have to do to be allowed to install on 'other sites'?

I have 5 vB licenses and would LOVE to install vBSEO onto the others!

Nothing mate.. i hadn't resaved the settings thats all. You have to resave the setting if it was not working after you upgraded to re-release. Anyway did that and till now its ok. Edited navbars and all and its still ok.

Michael (T2DMan) has been authorized to distribute pre-release versions of vBSEO for his existing clients (for purchase). Other resellers will be accepted after official launch.

Only 1 tester license was provided for each individual/business.
