so tempting

Oh nooo!
Now I'm tempted to climax to purchase Vbseo and Vbulletin

These ebay auctions will go far I'm sure.

When will Vbseo start to have branding-removal option included in the sale?

This is harsh, I bet only the richest people will be getting it now :(, I totally disagree with this idea.

Too compensate it however a 2007 actual 100% confirmed release date would ease my pain.

Thanks for the announcement. It might have been better if it was an eBay "dutch" auction instead of 3 separate auctions.

What happens next you determine how much users will have to pay for the right to remove branding? What if no one bid on it then would it free later in 2007?

This is a terrible way to introduce this option IMHO. So unprofessional.

Agree with you treasureman. Squeezin every last buck out of this "great" product. I'd rather just pay a little more and be done with it.

Let me know when your ready to actually sell it.

Thumbs down

IMHO, the whole idea of of auctioning this is unprofessional, plus it's too late. My competition is already using vBSEO for quite some time.

You should have offered a premium version (branding free), but that ship has sailed. If you offered now, I probably wouldn't purchase anyway. Already lost my competitive advantage gained by vBSEO.

That being said, it's the only negative thing I have to say about vBSEO. Updates have been great. Installs are easy and the product works.

I am sure the people who really want it bad will bid since only 3 are available. However it is no indication of what the average user might be willing to pay once the product is released to market.

You have a good product, why cheapen a "feature" by putting it on eBay? That is what you are doing in my opinion, and I am sure many will disagree, but to me it makes it less of a professional product and leaves a bad taste. That was my impression when I read the announcement, and it hasn't changed.

However it's your product, do what you like. Goes to show you that you can buy anything on eBay.

30 min later, and all 3 are priced beyond what i'd be willing to spend for it.

heh, i don't really mind serving the copyright anyway- it gets me referral cash

vB charges $120 for the branding free option, I think this is a fair price, so I paid for the branding free option. I'd also be willing to shell out $120 for the branding free option on vBSEO. If it was an option, I would have selected it the day I purchased my first license.

I put in a high bid of $150, then $175, then $200... Maybe I'll bid again, but I'd much rather have a roll out date for this option for the masses.
