Security Bulletin - vBSEO 3.6.0 PL2 Released

I have uploaded all files to my server and the xml. I assume the latest zip has been patched. If not, let me know.

I am confused. Is it the same file edit for all versions?

So if you run 3.6 only, you just update the following file, right?

In vbseo/includes/functions_vbseo_vb.php file

The best option is to get the patched vBSEO package from downloads area: https://www.vbseo.com/downloads/

The modification is done inside of vbseo_get_forum_announcement() function code.

So I need to upload all files, and re-upload the XML, right?

you guys need to relax and be more thorough when releasing these updates.

after reading these 3 pages full, i'm completely lost.

can I just do the 'edit code' in the first post and be done with it ? I don't have time to be downloading and uploading everything at the moment.

I think I agree with the above. Though I'm not sure if I'm confused or if I'm right at the moment. That is until my last post is answered then I'll know for sure.

So is it just adding the bit of code to one file as in the OP(already done this) OR reinstalling a new package as in post 36? Thanks

I see that functions_vbseo.php, functions_vbseo_pre.php and functions_vbseo_vb.php were all updated today so I uploaded all three on by vb installation.

It is sufficient to do the file edit.
