    It's a nice looking skin, but I have to say I am very disappointed in seeing it is a fixed width skin and not at all convenient for those using a screen or window resolution of 800x600. The technology has moved past that and there should be absolutely no reason why the skin couldn't be fluid and still maintain he look and feel you desire.

    Good point.

    The vBSEO.com instance is currently fixed due to the format limitations inherent with using an image welcome header instead of text. See:

    =====
    However, don't despair , this is specific to vBSEO.com as we are some OCD'ish SEO maniacs that can't stand "non-contributory" text at the top of our pages - the distro skin will allow you to make it fluid or fixed just like the default vB skin.

    Re: 800x600
    My guess is that the current skin requires you to scroll sideways then?

    Scroll bars appear at 966px width (using IE7). I test all my work at widths starting at 800px. I have large screen resolutions on my computers, but it isn't unusual for me to not have my browser windows maximized.

    Computer and Internet technology has always been about giving the user more freedom and more options. Fixed width designs take away from that. I have always had an issue with fixed widths and the designers who use them. There always seems to be an excuse, but I have yet to hear one that was acceptable. I don't know what "OCD'ish SEO maniacs that can't stand 'non-contributory' text" means, but it is a design issue that has a better solution than giving me wasted space on my $1200.00 monitor that my $600.00 video card allows me to have magnificent command of.

    Sorry, this is my position on fixed widths and I am sticking with it. I'm pretty passionate about it and you prob'ly will want to just let it go or you'll just get mad at me.

    I'm glad you got your skin up. Branding is very important and this skin goes a long way in identifying you and the product we all love so much.

    I prefer fluid myself also. I have my site optimized for 1024x768 and up, but it works without a scrollbar on 800x600 also.

    I was about to "get mad at me(you)" but got to "the product we all love so much" and forgot about all of the above j/k!.. you have a good point, we'll definitely take it in consideration

    hmm.. this a toughy - any ideas on forcing wrap for unbreakable strings, CSS gurus out there?

    We are currently using:
    word-wrap: break-word
    but it does not work with FF
