I get the same problem here
Works fine with Opera, but IE8 it all goes the same way as mentioned above

Here you go. This shows what I see with IE8
Dont ask technical questions about version of IE8, how many times a gnat flaps its wings etc

You can usually get that info from Help -> About.

the display problem could be due to add-ons on internet explorer that might be messing up with the code of the forum. the theme here on vbseo works great on all the browsers i have checked in. (i wonder if this theme is available for the users of vb4).

Lee, are you using compatibility mode? it looks like a double ~ just to the left of the refresh button on the tool bar if enabled. I can reproduce it in ie8 with compatibility mode enabled.

looks like there is an issue with ie7 rendering, rather than ie8. FYI, you should disable this for vbseo under the Page menu in the browser.
