It is expected to receive an email when you just installed the tracker mod and when you install/modify existing products in your admincp.

General Settings has e-mail opt-in options, but I don't know if that's the right place: http://www.vbseo.com/usercp/editoptions/

You need to check receive e-mails option within your vBulletin Settings : http://www.vbseo.com/usercp/editoptions/

Why the hell didn't you informed by Mail??? It's a disaster - we had 4 Forums with the same Problem - in ALL Forums we had 50% less Visitors / Page Impressions in the last 4 days!!!! We searched around 4hours the failure! Who pays that? And DON'T tell your customers what they have to do in their UserCP! You can always send Mails to Customers!

Sending email to anyone, customers or not, who have already opted out of email from a company is an actionable offense in most areas of the world. It's called SPAM.

If you buy and use a product and opt out of receiving emails from the administration, don't blame the company if you miss hearing about something important. That's like buying a car and saying you don't want to be informed of any safety issues or recalls.

In this case, not only did vBSEO inform people but vBulletin itself also warned people at both vbulletin.com and vbulletin.org, and directed them to the relevant vBSEO thread about the patch.

If you missed ALL those warnings, you have no one to blame but yourself.

I never opted out!!! Possible that the guys sent me SPAM and THEN i opted out? I don't know anymore. Anyway, most of the registered users here are Customers - and even not, they REGISTERED and so, it is NO spam!

I also didn't received a Message from vbulletin.com oder vbulletin.org - i'm Customer from vbulletin-germany.com and there i'm sure to have the messages active and never received one fucking warning about this!

I don't know how that's possible. I received warnings from all three domains. Have you checked your UserCP here and at the two vBulletin sites to sensure thatbyou have not opted out of admin emails? You are presumably a vBulletin owner/operator so I assume you know how that works.

Yes, i know how it works. You have also received a warning by vbulletin-germany.com? I never find a thread about that at vbulletin-germany.com!

Please stop constantly blaming everyone. We never send spam e-mails , all customers who choose to receive e-mails received the e-mails. We created an official announcement on announcement forum , tweeted about it , posted information on our Facebook page , and vBulletin.com also created an announcement. If you still didn't receive information we are sorry but there is nothing we can do.

Brian, i never received this email. Vbseo domain is whitelisted. I came to know about this the hard way after Google informed me of a malware on my files.

Our licenses system mails from @crawlability.com. Make sure this domain is whitelisted as well. also make sure your vb profile is set to received admin emails, as outlined above.

There is simply nothing more we can do on our end. 7 different ways to notify customers were posted or sent via various means. If you missed all oif them, i'm sorry, but it's out of our hands
vb listed it on .org and .com, our thread here, our email blast, facebook wall, twitter feed with @vbseo and #vbseo both tagged.
