    Hello Travis,

You may be best forwarding your question to your hosting providers. Some hosting providers permit making changes to PHP configuration files directly from cPanel, some don't.

The key part is to disable the mentioned PHP directive, as it's been cataloged as a security threat.

Is this file in the home root directory? I didnt have a php.ini file in my home directory. I called hostgator and they added a php.ini file to my home directory with register global turned off. I am not sure I did anything by doing this.

OK that one is easy as we too are with hostgator. IN your CPanel navigate down to 'software/services' and you should see an icon 'PHP.ini Quick Config', click on this and you will see a list of options. About half way down you will see an option 'register_globals' toggle on or off.

When you disable register_globals , you should also make sure to restart your web server.

I disabled this inside PHP.ini Quick Config but looking inside php configuration page it shows that register_globals is still on. I dont think I have the redirect anymore. I cant find it yet anyway. How would I restart the web server?
