Just wondering whats taking so long, its been 3 years and the usual response time is like 20 months?
No idea really, I'm actually not even following up on this anymore. The patent IS pending, but I have not gotten word from our patent lawyer on the progress, nor I'm interested in pursuing this anymore. As a matter of fact, I'm quite unhappy with the work (and the extreme expense) dedicated to this effort with little to no returns.
For a web based product like ours, it is my opinion that a patent won't make or break your company. It might help reduce the number of clones at best.
Hard work, good customer support, transparency and a kickass product are the only things that will give you success.
Lesson learned.
