    Intro from use-IP

    Hello there,

use-IP Ltd is my new UK business to promote the use of IP CCTV, network cameras etc in preference to traditional analogue (co-ax) CCTV.

New business, new website, new blog, new forum at IP Video, IP CCTV and network camera forum - Powered by vBulletin

So much to learn and work upon.
Getting the forum going is probably the hardest!?
(you can put anything you want in your website, and write anything in your blog, but attracting new users, queries and conversation to your forum seems really difficult - any tips would be very much appreciated)

I'm getting to grips with VBulletin.
    I noticed VBSEO at http://www.edugeek.net
That's a very successful forum, so I thought I'd visit here and see what I can learn ..... with a view to buying and adding VBSEO if it'll help ......

By the way, you can immediately see that this is such an optimised forum; the way the registration is handled, the auto-response meassges, I've just typed and previewed this first post and noted that the system had read the simple url that I entered for my forum and modified it to show the forum's title etc .... Obviously lots I can work upon and improve ....!! I'm learning already

    Welcome aboard.

Even before you get started with vBSEO, remember the following:

    Thanks Joe,

I've followed step 1 above and removed the phrase - powered by vBulletin.

Will work through all the other steps in your getting started tip next.

Can you point me towards a definitive post for installing Google Analytics? I've found varying advice in searches about where the code should be placed (header, body, footer).

Is it better to use a plugin?
If so, can you recommend one?

    Thanks again.
