I have just confirmed your purchase and you should have full access to them now.

As you are still on vb 3.8, i would recommend installing vbseo 3.3.2. 3.5 RC2 can be installed, but it is still in RC status and does contain a few minor bugs. Upgrading will be free later (within the year) so i would suggest waiting at this time.


Also, i noticed your site is completely closed to guests. vBSEO won't be able to do much of anything for you if you don't open the site to the public.

Its a paid forum hence closed to the public

Have I purchased something that wont be able to hlep if its closed to the public?

vBSEO will be able to give you nice links for your users to use, but all search engine optimization aspects of the product are virtually useless with it being closed down. I would suggest at the very least making a couple sections viewable by guests to get some landing pages submitted into google.

everytime I activate the plugin on the vbulletin admin panel I am unable to access any thred in the forum error 404. Whats the problem

I have only started sorting the installation out today as have been busy with our forum setup

Hello,

Things to check:

- all vbseo files are loaded to the correct place
- product file imported in admincp
- you have uploaded the htaccess file correctly for your correct webserver software (apache uses .htaccess)

Please make sure the htaccess file has line breaks in it. As posted, that will not work. Lines are statement terminators.

You are also missing the RewriteEngine On statement at the top.

Please try and upload the default htaccess file.

Hey Brian have sent through an email to vbSEO support. Have tested what you said with the google address in the .htaccess file however when I run with vBulletin I receive the 404 can you please have a closer look for me

Hey Brian we have had no choice but to turn the vbSEO plugin off via the admin CP in vbulletin until you have time to have a look at the .htaccess file
