My name is Josh, I currently live in Perth, Australia. I am thinking about purchasing vBulletin and using it for my domain, and then I have been visiting other forums for quite a while, and one of them uses vBseo, and the forum is quite popular and I like how the links look as well as some of the features.

I have one question if you guys don't mind answering it (I thought I might combine my introduction and asking a quesiton).

My question is how does the urls convert from the old thread title to the new one? Is it just the .htaccess mod_rewrite or does it use alot of system resource? Just want to know if it's a heavy resource or not.

Rewriting is done using mod_rewrite and post processing of your forum output. Performance impact should be minimal to unnoticeable, unless your server is already low on resources.
