Yay!! Could we switch from vbseo license to xenseo?? I even have branding free for both vb and vbseo. I'll suffer a big loss. :(

I think its a little soon to decide about migration from vb to Xenforo. we have to wait and see the full version first

xenseo isn't even an item on the whiteboard at this point in time. It is impossible to discuss license terms for something that doesn't exist.

XenForo look nice, but I do like vB too and especially now when I am learning how the platform works and designing new apps for it, I am not going to replace it any time soon. And I also have VBSEO for vB, additional reason not leave vB. I used vBSEO RR's lately and that alone was a huge improvement to part of the website. (Used it in a new way, I didnt before.) I love all the options and possibilities I get with vB + vBSEO. Its a great combination, the best out there IMHO.

Same here. Boosted Adsense big time. That alone would be a concern for me moving to XenForo without vBSEO.

I've already downgraded my vb forum and uninstalled vbseo in preparation for xF installation. Really loved vbseo but xF alone to me is worth more than vb + a super seo solution. I hope you guys consider building one for xF later.

its a great shame that you wont be considering creating a script for xenforo. im gonna try to convert my vb til xenforo when theres import script for vb 4 and then at last sell my vbseo

As it sits today, there is effectively ZERO market share for an un-finished product. It would be imprudent for us to waste a lot of time and resources on a failed-from-start project (not xen, but rather us doing something for xen) from any reasons, such as
-low license sale count (vbseo only accounts for a smaller percentage of licenses compared to vb, and the same will likely be for xen, but with a MUCH smaller base figure to begin with If they only sell 1000 licenses, we might sell 100-200, and there is no way we are putting in that many man hours for that amount of sales. there's only 2,300 members on xenforo right now. Even if each member buys 2 licenses, thats 4600, and a 10-20% 'seo people' of that number is 400-800. The amount of time and man hours to build the app for less than 1000 POTENTIAL sales is simply not a wise business choice at this time. As above, perhaps in the future this will change, and if so, it is something that we may consider at that time.
-the built in seo functions may not give us a big enough market to tap/be profitable (why use an add-on when the core is good)
-future (xenforo may be out of business in 6 months... who knows. investing in a start up is 100% risk. I think anyone moving their active communities to it right out the gate is a mistake. Sure, play with it, try it out, maybe convert a not so active board and see what happens. But i'd wait a while before converting anything that you don't know the future of. Imagine if vb were still on version 1.0 or even 3.0. There's no conversion scripts for those anymore, and you'll be stuck on it, or have to foot a huge customization bill to hire a coder to build something like it for you.)

Until Xenforo is a proven solution with a large customer base and there is a high demand for a product from us, we likely will not be venturing down that road. We can't tell the future, so all we can do is tell you to keep an eye on our annoucement forum going forward and maybe in the future one will be posted that sparks an interest.

I dont know how you can take the risk of a beta product, and you expect vbseo ( Crawlability ) to make a SEO plugin for a beta product.

all of big board admins (especially vbseo stuffs) will purchase Xenforo license for sure, BUT changing our stable forum software with a beta product???? I really dont know what to say. its up to you to change your forum software or sell your vbseo license , but I think its the worst decision ever.

No one expect vbseo to create a SEO plugin for Xenforo or any other Beta (or non-beta) product (like IPB) which is risky to this company.

    Regards.

The question we should be asking outselves is "Does xenForo need vBseo?" As it stands xenForo is pretty SEO friendly out of the box. vBseo could be wasting alot of man hours to solve a problem that doesn't exist.

I agree with you, BUT please keep in mind that vbseo is more than a simple seo plugin, and I think that every forum software needs a plugin like vbseo.
