Maybe the s needs to be bolded.

"Get rid of your home entertainment remotes - get a Logitech Omni-Remote Device, it will even call your pets and kids in for dinner!"

Business cards - Was about to order 1000 of these for my wifes new business ^^ and I probably still will lol

Landline phones - Got a new connection the other day at home lol. Had no choice because to get internet here in Australia you need a landline, after you have one, you can then go to naked dsl.

I don't use the landline tho, I use my iPhone for all calls since I get unlimited calls included.

Music CDs - I have a 6 CD stacker in my car which I still use ^^

All my sites have www. included by default.

I can't see these being gone by the end of 2010

Most of the items listed will stick around for few years... I wonder why that author forgot to mention why he's still wearing regular glasses instead of having a laser eye surgery or wearing a contact corrective lenses?

    • Fax machines: very useful for business correspondence and the newer versions will be still called "fax" (fast scanner or efax)
    • Cigarette lighter plugs in cars: mainly for charging a cellphone, not everybody can afford smart cards with usb ports yet.
    • WWW (Why do we still need the trip-dub in URLs?) who cares? with or without.
    • Business cards: I can't live without them and I can't think of what could replace them?
    • Movie rental stores: They will always exist and upgrade to the next data support platform.
    • Home entertainment remotes: I had a casio watch 10 years ago that could be used as a remote.
    • Landline phones: if you live in Florida where hurricanes hit, you will understand better that landline phones are more reliable in such situations.
    • Music CDs: I have and still collect vinyls.. i love them! vinyls are older?
    • Satellite radio: I think satellite radio is more advanced than the internet one so are we going backwards now?
    • Redundant registration: not all websites have the databse/technology to pull a location from a zipcode?

The point is that www is a subdomain.
Thus, why use a subdomain when you can just use THE domain?

Back in the day, it was needed to direct webserver software to the website, as domains were active directory-style 'domains'. That's long gone now, and thus www is deprecated, redundant, and simply adds more typing.

You rarely see major websites advertise www.

(as im watching tv and a commercial set is on....)
    macys.com
    turbotax.com
    vonage.com
    att.com
    history.com

and so on. none with dubs.
