What would you do, competator buying your product

Well i am not to sure what to do. I own a company that manufactures water/alcohol injection kits. Today i get an order from another company that just recently started selling a product that competes with mine. Not naming names, but the probably in the top 20 of largest car part manufactures, and well I got 3 people that work for me. So i know they have the capability to make anything they want.

Should i just cancel the sale? If they want it they can just have an employee buy it etc and have it mailed elsewhere. I have right at 5,000 getting this one part developed and tested. I could be paranoid, maybe they just want me to suplly them parts. and its just a test item. I do supply parts to other companys and i put there logo on it etc. So i don't know, Might just call him and ask.. What would you do?

If they want your product, they'll find a way to get it. You might as well keep "good will" and fulfill their order, no questions asked. But keep a watchful eye.

I agree with Joe here. I know he's been in this issue too, as well as others probably on this forum. That's the issue with business and you just have to go with the flow.

I work for the government, building electronics for US army, now almost 99% of products put into them electronics where made within the same company, but depending on due time, and how many has to be sent out, There may be a need to go elsewhere to get abit more product, done in time. They could be modifying a car to a customer’s specifications. I doubt very much they would buy your product without putting the time and effort to look into it first.
