    vbulletin freelancers terrible!

As many one might know, vbulletinfreelancers has bought madebymary.com products. Let me tell you my experience of using this site's product.
I have bought vbfnews bundle (vbfnews and some vba module+free branding option). After installing the block did not works and I had to ask for support. The support was really good. Chris had fixed the be blog for my by harcoding some line in the Vba_block.
There is still some database error when search engin bot accessing my site but Chris said that the product works this way because it is " to prevent my site from hackers"
I decided to buy the cecond copy of vbfnews for my site. However, the terrible thing happened.
After install, the free branding option did not work. I read the file and it said that "just valid on ly on one domain"
And looking at the license number, I realized that two coppies have the same number. I wet to their site asking question and no reply for two week. Then, I post and said that I could file a dispute via paypal. After waiting a week, no reply.
I filed a dispute via paypal(might purpose is let vbulletin freelancer staff know that I need support). However, they immediately refunded my money. They never read my question in the forum but said that "because I bought the second coppy then there is no reason for the problem". I have never seen such a bad support until now.

And now, if you look at their site there are many question without replies at:
    vB Freelancers - vbSiteNews
They has closed the support via forum and said that they support via support board but many peop complaining about the staff do not reply their email for weeks.
You should never buy the product on their site.

You aren't the first person with this complaint. I recently picked up some work at Vb.org and one of the guys from vbF left his board a mess and half complete and i got ot go fix it.

Sucks you had to find out about it the hard way though

Wow.. telling customers to go play in traffic?

That's not good business tactics where I come from.

Support is an area that many developers are not prepared for when launching a new operation. We try to think of ourselves as a support company that *also* provides software... instead of a software company that also provides support.

    Real terrible!

Even developers of free vBulletin mods would offer better support and respect to their customers than that.

I was thinking of buying vBDigishop from them later this month.
Will dump the idea now. *Goes in search for alternatives*

Thanks for sharing your experience. As I said, the first time I bought the script there, their support was good. I just did not agree when I told them that there a database error when the search engine bot comes to our site, the staff their told me " it works on that way for security reason" I think that they could not fix it and told me something like that.

But recently they closed the support forum and just support via project tool or support ticket with the condition that they do not support during weekend and holidays. But the fact is clear that there is no support even in weekday.

I have complaint about the lack of support and they said that because they were released many new features and then can not support

I have one site with vbf news but I am thinking of uninstall it.
If you guy here do not believe please go to their site and post a question to see if you got reply or not

Finally they open a "complaint forum" (http://www.vbulletinfreelancers.com/...complains.html)

Well, Gavin has just made sure that I would never ever buy any of their products.

Hope you get sorted out. What a way to speak to customers, he may as well just said "fcuk off"

    Please read this gain:
Rules for posting complains - Page 2 - vB Freelancers

Chris's reply is funny. I really do not know if they want to sell their product or not.

I will get my money back. It is not big but I feel It is not worth paying for such a bad support.

Gavin said that he does not work for them but the way he replies make me feel that he works for them.

There was dispute over their classifieds. They were telling people that they had taken over vbclassifieds and tried using the name for their own product.

    vBClassifieds Sold? - vBClassified.com

Lets hope they get everything they deserve

It amuses me that when you search for "vbulletin freelancers" the first result is for:
    Database Error - http://www.vbulletinfreelancers.com
