Thats the second Patch already... Eh, my forum is now updated. At least it was no template change's.

I just want 3.7! Good grief. No one knows when its coming and I have to sit on my hands and not do anything to my sites because as soon as I do something 3.7 will come along and either break it or render it useless.

It's really frustrating how secretive vBulletin is.

I take it, then, you've been following those polls over at .com these days? It does indeed seem as if 3.7.x is due any time now and it's annoying that they've already locked down the feature set but, by not telling anybody what they are, there are still site owners out there buying & installing products (eg: various 'social network' add-ons) that my be considered moot when 3.7 is released.

Yea I have been watching it every day to see if vBulletin will actually say something.

Based on the responses by people like Wayne I doubt that, as long as the current Jelsoft crew is in place, that they'll consider changing their current practices.

Maybe now that they have hired an outspoken champion of thier immediate compeditor (IPB), as a developer... perhaps things will change?

I saw that thread about the two new developers... was the former IPB'er the one who stayed or is the one who left already?

Fairly certain he is the one who stayed.. check 'All Posts by *whateverhisnameis*' and look at the last ones, he is defending IPB strongly (while constantly saying vB is a fine piece of software).

OK, that'd be "Martin Meredith" who stayed (or, from the sounds of that other thread... was allowed to remain).

From reading his posts it sounded like he wasn't involved in the IPB community for a few years.

Wow, I've been out of these forum wars for a long time. It was kind of interesting for a while, though.

I just wish vB would get a good skin and be done with it.
