    Admincp -> styles & templates -> style manager - > Style Vars ->
    doc_width

    change from auto to your fixed width setting with a unit.

    You may want to adjust other doc______ variables as well like min width, margins, etc.

    I'm not sure if that works, can you guys confirm? I know that for vBSEO.com we added a container to set both, fluid and fixed widths.

    what exact settings did you use for the doc___ variables? I've changed widths on my test site multiple times now with this method.

    Agreed,

    Variables I found needed to be changed to get fixed width was
    • Doc_width
      • Units = px
      • Size = 940
    • Doc_margin
      • Units = px
      • Use the 'top' value for all sides = No
      • Top = 10
      • Right = auto
      • Bottom = 0
      • Left = auto
    With the above you get a 940px site centred and with a 10px margin at the top, I have tried it on both my live and test sites both work fine.
