vbcover review / HORRIBLE support

I know the story of vblogetin pretty well as i was also a customer. However the warning was not related to nodrac's current comments. I edited and removed the part that nodrac received the warnings.

We all have a right to critisize any site or any one here with one important rule. If you donot insult that person or mod.Thats why we always have to keep the thin line between critisim and insult.

We are successful in getting PayPal rulings in our favor when we note our refund policy, show proof of download, provide validating customer info in fraudulent cases, and note history of ticket communication, etc.

On the other hand, we also process fast refunds for customers in situations that merit it.

I am Vbcover's "fan" here.

I do not complain about files editting because I am familiar with it. Howerver, the thing that I am not please is that the ways Lionel support customers.

When thing goes well it is ok! However, when his script stops working then the first thing he said is that "because your server config". I ask what config? Then he said " I do not support to config your server". Howerver, the cause is not my server but his bad product.

I bought his products(vbslideshow and vbmagazine bundle). Last year he helped me to make them "work" and then he said because my server config. At that time, I was on a shared server and then I believe him but this year I moved to a dedicated server and he said the samething. I asked him where and he could not answere! Then I tried to install a new vbulletin forum and install his product(vbslideshow). It worked. This was clearly that It was not my server config.
I asked him again and then he said because my forum addons! I have disabled all my forum plugins/products but it vbslideshow still did not work. Asking him again this time he closed my thread

I want to conclude that his products always conflict with some other plugin which he, the coder, does not know how to fix(or even know which one to tell us)!

Please look at his sites, after the server down he still can not reinstall the demo page. If it is take time for him to have a demo page like that, so it would be longer for us to have a real page.

The ways he support customers is really bad.
His product is encoded so you can not modify them!

Becareful! Think again before buying vbcover products.

i must be the only one who didn't have ANY type of problem with neither of his software...

I'm using Vbslideshow and Vbmagazine

I didn't have to edit any kind of templates

and with vbslideshow i had it since 3.7. went to 3.8 without any problem....

i followed his direction regarding installing Ioncube and voila. I am on a dedicated server as well... and i have a few other add ons from vb.org about 20 in total

We had the vblogetin software installed some time ago and I have to admit it was quite disappointing to see the first commercial vbulletin blogging product to be "discontinued" so quickly. Btw, the same thing happened with the Nuwiki plugin (wikipedia type software for vbulletin)... the developer Elf Mage was providing awesome support for many many months but then he suddenly disappear and nobody knows what happened to him :(

Anyway, there is one SUPER HELPFUL hack we can't imagine to live without... the Prevent Spam Posts hack created by SirAdrian !!

Your Not alone, Im a total noob when it comes to installing products and editing templates etc but i had no problems at all with vbherald, Infact i got on so well with vbherald that i bought vbmagazine and absolutley luv working with both of them! I dont recall there being too many edits to do, but im pretty sure that if i can get it working out of the box as it were then anyone can! I did need a bit of help with one thing that I messed up and lionel sorted that out for me straightaway on a sunday afternoon, we've published 2 magazines and newsletters and our members really like them as do the couple of hundred guests / visitors that have subscribed to both the magazine and newsletters and we've only just started using it..

We use 3.8.4 running on a VPS, no problems at all with vbcover and really pleased I stumbled upon their site

i bought the slideshow from them ,stupid me
had some problems with it and i got some stupid and rude answers
i will never ever buy anything anymore from this site
since support is lacking and friendly behavior is noway to be seen
i use joomlaworks slideshow and its rocking
Think again before buying vbcover products. :( ,this is personal and its my opinion
but its the last they see of me ...
