| vB variables on other pages
I have been searching around and have yet to find a definitive answer to the "How can I use vB variables on non-vb pages." Here's what I'm trying to do. I have a page (actually it's a wordpress blog) that I am trying to integrate with vB. Nothing fancy, I would just like to be able to pull the logged in user's username into the document, and I'de love to be able to use a few group based conditional statements throughout the page. Please, point me in the right direction. |

Well you would basically need to do a query_read from that page to pull the online users (Looking at the online.php would probably be your best bet to see how the query should look).

Since you're not in vb scope, your best bet is to query the database directly with a custom script. Otherwise, you're going to have to hack wordpress pretty extensively, to include vb/global.php and set up the normal init features. |
