    Question The upcoming google update, What will your site do?

    Many of us have installed this product since the last PR update, and I am sure others that installed it prior during the beta testing very likely missed out on having the new pages indexed in time for the update.

    This is all speculation at this point, but what kind of changes are you expecting in terms of PR when google rolls out the next update?
    • Pages will not change, remain at 0 probably until the next update after this?
    • PR for the new pages will be the same as the previous pages that they replaced?
    • PR will be just a little higher on some pages?
    • What about your overall PR for your main page/main forum page? You think it will change as a result of this product?
    Post what you expect to happen, then once the update rolls out, update on the actual results.
    We all know that PR isn't as importants it was once thought to be, but according to many, it does have a decent factor in SERPS, frequency of cache updates, and the depth that the googlebot will crawl your site regularly. Many of us also depend on it for advertising purposes and things such as COOP.

    I'm hoping to hit a Page rank of 5 personally.. I'm at 4 for most of my pages (not too sure about actual threads on my forum.. but my main forum url and main page url is a 4.

    I don't really think it makes much of a difference though. Like you said it's not as important as it used to be and it seems to be fading out.

    I still think it is important, as I have noticed that links off of higher PR sites get indexed more quickly, and I am sure it has weight in regards to search engine placement. How much weight though, I don't know.

    I am at a 5 for my home page currently, 4 for my forum home page. I would really like to see this number go up during this update.

    I have been stuck at Page Rank 3/2 for a year now. Any change positive for those will be welcomed.

    I wish my Coop ads would kick in and get me ranked in google for my keywords.

    Same in here and i don't expect a rise in my pagerank exactly. I dont like link exchange that much but i believe it is needed.

    vBSEO is certainly magic for the PR of internal pages. And even more so if you do my trick of having numbered footer links to your archive pages. This gets the max PR to the threads.

    Most of my threads have PR4 - a few thousand of them, and I even have a few PR5 & PR6 threads. But thats specifically because of the many links those particular pages have got.

    Site Map - All, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 ...,

    Works wonders. I take the html source from the main archive page, and fashion it in excel, and dump it into my footer template.

    All I want is the PR transfer, I dont need the sitemap pages to rank in their own right, so I don't need descriptive text links.

    Having numbers is the least obtrusive. You can also put a conditional on there to only show to guests. Makes it even tidier.

    Its weird for me, I have been a '6' on my front page for quite some time and my forums are a 5. However on some of the tool bar servers my forums are coming up as a 6.

    I went to seochat and used their future PR checker, 2 of the servers say that my forums are a 6 and the rest say a 5. I wondered for awhile if there was some sort of PR update, but it has been this way for about a month now

    I am looking forward, I hope not to drop, but we shall see

    I have been doing some screen scraping and capturing new data from sports sites such as schedules and standings and using vbseo to write out clean URLs, they look promising

    WE shall see
