Trackbacks

This is way off topic but my blog just got its first trackback today and I just dont understand... I just dont understand what it is. And i click the trackback link and it does not take me anywhere... Take a look!

now i just got a ping back too what does all this mean? Is it good is it bad i dont know why i am worried but this has never happened before.

ok i got the ping back thing that means that someone linked to you. That makes sence.... but the trackback still does not...

Trackback & pingback are mostly the same.

Difference is that pingback means that the other site has linked to you. Trackback may involve a link or it might not include a link.

so what does it take to get a track back. Because when i click the track back link in my blog it says url not found....

That first entry looks like it was created by a bot that was searching for blogs with automatic trackback approvals on. They've verified you - and now you will be listed in a database of blogs that can be spammed. That's one theory...

Wow i dont want to be spammed :( how would i stop this from happening?

Check your software to see if it has an option to approve/disapprove or delete trackbacks.
