Subscription Expiry Reminder Email?

When my vBSEO subscription expired I received periodic emails reminding me to renew. I'd like to use something like that on my forum. I can't seem to find a hack/product that will do this. I've checked vb.org. What do you use at vBSEO to do that?

I'd also like to be able to email members who had a subscription at one time to see if they would like to renew or give feedback on why they don't want to. I could probably modify the hack I'm looking for to do this, but if anyone knows how to make that happen I'd appreciate it too.

We have a custom built vBSEO Biz Admin system that handles this and many other tasks. Unfortunately, it is not something that we plan to make available at this time. If you manage a subscription database, you can probably have someone build you a small custom hack that will do the same thing fairly easily.

I'm a decent coder. I'm just lazy. I might give it a shot myself. Probably just use a cron job to do it.

Yes - a very simple cron will do the trick. Compare expiry dates with current date, and sent out an appropriate email template.
