    Remote FTP backup recommendations

Lets just say I have been through a rough 48 hrs with my server after it decided it was having a bad day.

At one stage I was told it was all over, three years of work gone and the only back up I have, is on the server in question. Looking at starting out again from scratch and day 1 all over again, is not a prospect I wish on anyone. Even now I still have my tech window open and am logged into their help desk.

Can anyone recommend a remote sever for backing up to or give any insight into this as an option for further ways of backing up

    Cheers Lee

I lease a NAS at my datacenter, and do a dump nightly + weekly to it. only costs about $20 a month.

Cheers for that Brian. Being complacent, almost cost me the lot this weekend.

48 hrs of being in contact with my server tech guys, trying to solve a problem and praying that they could save the forum.

Now I know the importance of backing things up, off the server you run everything on

Not a weekend I want to repeat in a hurry

I use High Performance Server Backup Software and Disaster Recovery Software for Windows and Linux*::*R1Soft on a 2nd dedicated server offsite. Plus my nightly backups on my server. Plus FTPing them to my Harddrive.

I've gone through too much to lose data. Now if something goes wrong I will have a backup from less then 2 hours worth backup.
