That's a vBulletin option. Check the first option under "Message Posting and Editing Options"

it just says there are risks with that. But it tested and seems to work fine i like having quick reply. Thanks for your help

Yes, if you use Threaded or Hybrid modes on your site, the posts could end up mis-arranged since you aren't requiring the user to choose which post they are replying to...
being a vb newb i dont even know what threaded or hybrid modes are... I am assuming that is where you would able to reply to a specific post instead of to thread in general?

see how the 3rd post is nested? depending on WHICH post you select to reply from, it will create the proper thread heirarchy.
edit due to misreading lol. Yes i dont use hybrid either makes no sence to me.
