Vbseo says its an issue with php 5 and or zend. Host will not go back to php 4.4. So my stuff will not work till hopefully the next update. I was just curious if anyone on here has got an idea "maybe they are betaing" the next release of php and or zend. I think the next php will be 5.2

I know its one of them things that you never know when someone is going to release an update to software. So i have been checking every day

try the ion cube version with the run-time loaders.

i don't think its related to php 5.1.6, as i'm on 5.1.5, and the minor bug fix in .6 shouldn't effect anything, especially if you aren't on a 64-bit system

[24-Aug-2006] The PHP development team would like to announce the immediate availability of PHP 5.1.6. This release contains a fix for memory_limit restriction on 64 bit systems that was not included in PHP 5.1.5.

    Thanks Brian,

My host says ion cube will break other things on his server.

From what i gather vbseo tech is not 100% sure whats wrong. We all know how software can be. We also know there are a million settings on a server. :( Vbseo Was worken then I upgraded from rc4 to rc5 and it quit worken. theni had host upgraded software. Vbseo said to try it. No workey So I had host revert back to the last version of software. Vbseo still did not work, then I tried rc3 So i had the same software as i did before and now it will not work. Why i am currious if anyones got an idea. whats wrong.

With all due respect, your host is an idiot.

The run-time loaders are just that- run time. They do zero changes to the server.
They are a folder of files, that get called via vbseo.php when it needs to decrypt it on the fly.

if you can host /images and put jpg's in there without breaking the server, you can upload /ioncube with the .so's in there the same way.

    Chance,

It sounds like a good idea to switch to a new host. You need to the ability to have things configured successfully. If your host is not supporting you, it's a good idea to look elsewhere.

My host said pretty much the opposite. That I should give up this software because its not compatable with newer hosting software.

Does this software suport php 5 ?
    Does this software suport zend?

I have both and it does not work. Which version do i need? php 4 is on its way out the door.
I just want what i payed for to work. I really like how this software worked when it did work. Because i had it running for afew weeks. It just basicly quit when i updated to v5
